The police do need our help

Articles like this one sicken me:

Police officer 'forced to fight for his life as mob attacked him over burger wrapper row'

After being asked to pick up litter which she had dropped a sixteen year old girl drops it again to amuse her friends.  When asked to pick it up again she, and up to thirty other girls, attack the police!

So Croydon is off the places to visit for a day trip list then.

The attack was witnessed by a large number of shoppers and employees at nearby stores including Woolworths and Vision Express.

One shopper, Jamie Pyatt, told police the teenager went 'berserk' and he dialled 999 because he was concerned for their safety.

A Woolworths employee described the crowd as 'hostile and like animals' as others filmed the incident on their phones.

So there are policemen fighting for their lives in broad daylight and this is witnessed by a large number of people who did nothing.  Some of them even filmed the incident on their ‘phones.
