On Saturday 25th July we decided, as we sometimes do, to jump into the people carrier and go to Welland Park in Market Harborough.
If you are within reasonable travelling distance of Market Harborough we heartily recommend this as a good family destination.
There is so much to do there, not just playgrounds, for all ages. Beautiful surroundings, cafe, free tennis, bowling, measured mile, large open spaces, bmx/slateboard area, putting green, and other things that pass me by at the moment.
We packed the people carrier. All six of us plus one of Sian’s friends. Volunteers to find rackets and balls were easy to come by and we were soon off. The drive both ways is lovely countryside and Leicestershire/Northamptonshire villages depending on direction of travel. I like to vary the routes.
