First surgery today in new time slot

This morning I have hosted my first councillors surgery in its new time slot: First Saturday of the month from 10:00 until 11:00.

Once the news is out on the next quarterly bulletin it will be better attended but there was footfall this morning so the word is getting out.

I received the first feedback of any king on the Barpool ward Blog.  Wishing me luck with it and saying that it was a good idea.  If more people follow in that vein then it should be.  Once again, the news will go through letterboxes on the next quarterly bulletin, after that I am hopeful that the ward blog site be used.

Two requests this morning.  One chap wanted a tree relocating ten feet because it blocks a relations view.  The second was a complaint about a standard letter that has been sent out and with which I agree completely.  E-mail on way …..

On a personal note there is candidate training taking place this weekend in the West Midlands and I have had the honour of being asked to present one of the modules.  I am chuffed to bits about this and thoroughly looking forward to it.
