Piracy in the English channel

Shiver me timbers shipmates a cargo ship full of timber has been hijacked off the European coast and sailed through the English channel.

Think I am kidding?  CARGO SHIP 'SEIZED BY PIRATES' IN CHANNEL, says the headline and if it is confirmed then it is the first act of piracy committed in European waters in living memory.

In years gone by no-one would have dared to try something like this.  The international respect has gone and we are open for plunder.  I know one cure, tough government.  Not this one or the next that is for sure.
