Take Conservative snouts out of the trough

punish the pigs

Over on the BBC website there is an article titled: Senior Tory wants MP pay doubled

The derision that will be poured upon this notion by every working person will have to be experienced to be believed.

I cannot imagine that there has been one fair minded person out there who has thought, “Hmmm, hadn’t thought of that but you know what.  That is the right thing to do”.  Not a single one.

A senior Conservative has called for MPs' pay to be doubled - in return for scrapping their second home allowance.

Sir Patrick Cormack says MPs annual pay should increase from £64,766 to more than £130,000.

The committee, chaired by Sir Christopher Kelly, is carrying out a full investigation of MPs pay and allowances and is due to report later this year.

In his submission, Sir Patrick acknowledges his proposal could be seen as "politically unacceptable".

Politically unacceptable well fancy that.  Political suicide more like.  If he is not one of the many Conservative MPs stepping down at the next general election then I bet his name is being considered as an addition to the list.
