Barpool Ward Neighbourhood Watch

Neighbourhood Watch logo

As a ward councillor I hear about different things some of which I approve whereas others I feel may not work so well.  Particularly if they involve financial payments by the public for services that they are already paying for in some measure with their council tax.

I was delighted to promote Smart Water in the post below and the logo above is another idea that I believe the community should take on board with enthusiasm.

Neighbourhood Watch is community based and works upon the principle of members of a community looking out for each other.  Simple enough.  I know other communities in which this scheme contributes towards a reduction in crime.  Literally those Neighbourhood Watch signs on the lamp posts combined with the Smart Water stickers in peoples windows combine to tell burglars that this is a  neighbourhood in which they stand a much greater chance of getting caught.

While the PCSO’s of Warwickshire Police were giving away Smart Water they were also recruiting for members to form a Neighbourhood Watch area.

I would be delighted to play my part in turning Barpool Ward into such a place.
