There will be people who view this blog post whose initial reaction will be, “British National Party councillor picks on people of Islamic faith”. Nothing could be further from the truth. My concern is for everyone who does not fit into this mans vision of the future. He is a radical extremist.
I remember with complete clarity that when the IRA was committing acts of terrorism and promoting hatred against the peoples of this country they were roundly condemned by governments, churches and community groups virtually everywhere. This is how it should be when terrorists claim a community as some sort of cover.
No such thing is taking place within the Muslim community. Worse yet, this man has a senior position within the Muslim community. I think that there should be a massive condemnation from the Muslim community. As polls of Muslim youngsters show that significant percentages agree with him I shall not hold my breath.
