I have some experience of schooling. I went to a few to start at the obvious point. I have been a school governor. I have children who have been to school so I have experienced the system from a parents perspective and for three years we have home educated two of our children. I am not claiming a crystal ball but I am claiming that i know something about educating children. I have a major problem with a fact that has been around for a while and is only getting worse. It is a fact about which the government does not seem to be interested. There are no special projects to correct this problem and yet it affects large numbers of school age children. The problem is the under achievement of white boys and girls. The girls do better than the boys but not by a lot.

Poor white boys now do worse in primary school tests in England than any other main group, latest figures show.
Only 48% of white British boys eligible for free school meals achieved the expected level in English and maths.
The average for all pupils was 71.8% - and that gap, 23.8 percentage points, was up from 23.1 points last year.
Attainment continued to vary between ethnic groups with Chinese, Irish, Indian and mixed white and Asian children doing best.
It was known already that nationally, attainment in both English and maths in the Key Stage 2 national curriculum tests - commonly known as "Sats" - had fallen this year.
This new breakdown of the provisional data by various pupil characteristics, published by the Department for Children, Schools and Families, reveals the detail behind the headline.
Last year 52.5% of white British boys and girls together had the worst performance, though the girls' attainment was 55.4%.
This year, as a group, white British pupils again did worst.
Again it was the boys' performance that was weaker than the girls'. While 55% of girls achieved the expected level they were outperformed by the next nearest group - Pakistani girls (57.4%).
In any nation on the face of the planet it would seem to me common sense that the children of the indigenous population are best placed to prosper in the state education system. If you are from a minority group (and I detest that divisive term) and present with educational problems you will be singled out for extra help. No question about it. If you are from the indigenous population you are left. No flags are raised, no extra help available. If the parents of the children do not spot the problem (and no-one will tell them) and sort it out, if they know how, then no-one else will.
Extra help should be given in schools to those who need it most. The qualifying factor for extra assistance should be educational need not which politically correct sub-category of society you belong to.
I challenge anyone to explain to me in the comments section why this is acceptable to them.
If this is allowed to continue how long will it be before there is a sign at the accident and emergency unit saying, ‘Indigenous peoples will be seen last’. Silly me. They would have to recognise us as indigenous before printing such a sign.
