Another hectic week

Martyn Findley in front of flag

This is far from the worst picture that has ever been taken of me.

If I remember correctly it was taken at the North Birmingham meeting of the British National Party earlier in the year where I had the pleasure of being the first speaker of the evening ahead of our Nick.  I cannot remember what I was saying at the time but I do enjoy delivering speeches.  Having spent the weekend leafleting I did not know until today when someone told me that I was on the National News section of the British National Party website.  I remembered sending an e-mail to the website so had a sneaking suspicion that it might be about the racial incidents figures that I told you about earlier in the week.  I was right!  That is where I found the picture.

The Social Scrutiny Panel is generally very interesting.  There are always items of interest on the agenda for any councillor who has a genuine wish to scrutinise the workings of the councils main day to day decision making body which is of course the Conservative controlled cabinet.  Scrutiny meetings are non political affairs and I think it is fair to say that we all try our best to keep them that way.  If we did not the proceedings would soon descend into chaos.

I had the privilege this week of speaking in front of a packed meeting of the Solihull Branch of the British National Party.  The good people of Solihull are fortunate in having such a good group of people from which to draw their future representatives.  This meeting was standing room only at the back but having said that I am certain that Andy Terry would always welcome more.

This weekend has seen a most welcome flurry of activism on the streets with more leaflets being delivered than ever before in one day in Nuneaton and Bedworth than immediately comes to mind.  I have still only seen one non-BNP leaflet/poster in a window which gives me great pleasure.  This weekend has been quite possibly the most positive of the campaign for comments from the public.

Punish the pigs on June 4th

This tickled my funny bone.  Hope you like it!

Racial incidents recorded in Nuneaton and Bedworth drop by more than half since BNP councillors elected

At tonight's meeting of the Social Scrutiny Panel the agenda was as usual a busy one and Best Value Performance Indicators (BVPI) were amongst the reports.

The Integrated Performance Report for the period April 2008 to March 2009 was brought before us for scrutiny.

BV174 Racial incidents recorded per 100,000 population was recorded at 4.14 incidents per 100,000 for the period 2007/2008 whereas 1.58 incidents per 100,000 was recorded for the period April 2008/March 2009 which nicely encompasses the period of time that Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council has enjoyed the presence of British National Party councillors.

By my reckoning the number of racial incidents has fallen by far more than half since BNP councillors were elected to the chamber.

Furthermore the Annual Target for 2008/2009 was 8.3 incidents per 100,000.  Therefore the number of racial incidents within the borough is down to less than one fifth of the target.

It is a common claim on anti-BNP literature that racist incidents increase when British National Party councillors are elected.  Hopefully some recorded facts will help to blow away the myths.

I am personally delighted by these figures.  One incident is one too many but a reduction of this magnitude shows the continued potential of partnership working between Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council and its partner agencies.

David Cameron, the marketing man, is upsetting people – Aah bless.

The numpty in the video below is the former Conservative council leader on Thurrock council where the British National Party councillor Emma Colgate has the honour of serving.

In Thurrock Emma quite regularly holds the balance of power in the chamber.  David Cameron knows that one of his local Conservative councils is ‘friendly’ with the British National Party and, according to the guy in the video, were going to pull Conservative candidates to let the British National Party have a free run at Labour in one or two wards.

This is in complete contrast to Nuneaton where the Conservative controlled council will not even allow councillors of the British National Party to sit on outside bodies!

One thing it does show though is that what we within the British National Party have been saying for a long time now and the British public has we hope woken up to.

Labour, Conservatives and Lib Dems are completely interchangeable!

The former Conservative leader of the council had no difficulty what so ever walking the floor to the Labour benches and was doubtlessly well received.

Walk the floor! – I dread to think what it would take.

Original story available at: - Former Tory Leader on Thurrock Council Exposes Cameron’s Anti-BNP Hypocrisy

Continuing with Mr Cameron for a moment he has upset surviving war veterans who actually did fight the Nazis.

David Cameron Is a “Disgrace to British Politics” Says WWII BNP-Supporting Veteran.

george-johnson-wwii George Johnson has actual experience of fighting Nazis first hand and has been offended by Mr Cameron's childish rants at the British National Party.

When questioned by members of the public with regards to policy on immigration and the teaching of history in schools Mr Cameron apparently threw the dummy completely from the pram and went off on one,  ignoring the questions completely.

Someone is feeling the pressure!

I wish that I had been there.  There was an event recently in Nuneaton where, according to the newspaper report, people with differing political points of view were welcome.  Apparently not.  You had to apply by e-mail for an invitation and I never received mine.  No surprise really.

Politics is not about marketing and sound bites.  Focus groups should not create or influence policy.  Politicians should decide what their principles are and stick to them.  Politicians of good character can have fundamental disagreements and still uphold their opponents right to a view.

Within the British National Party we hold the view that we will tell people the truth about our policies and they will either vote for them or they will not.  The choice is theirs.  We do not lie and change coats according to the way the political winds blow.

Someone should give the marketing man this advice.

News roundup

I have been for a little link walk around the online version of the Guardian.  I would like to share a little of what I found with you.

Mandelson given assurances over Vauxhall's future.  “Business secretary talks to all major bidders for GM Europe and pledges support for new owners”.

I bet he does.  Lord Mandelsons assurances are about as stout as a fart in a stiff breeze.  Pledges made by bidders for companies, especially those whose factories are in business friendly Britain, are notoriously porous.  Even when laid down in writing they are only for a fixed term and contravened as soon as the new owner can get away with it.

I positively shudder to think how much the term, “pledges support for new owners”, will cost the taxpayer.

Party leaders agree to talks on reform of parliament.

This revelation is not in truth the biggest surprise of the day.  With the current state of public feeling about politicians I am only surprised that they are not promising two Christmas’s this year to try to impress the public.

This issue is I believe going to get a lot of play in the media for the next week and a bit in an attempt to con people that they really are serious about cleaning the political theatre up.

Personally I do not think that anything less than a general election can do this.  I do not think that the general election is due until May 2010.

Brown knows that Labour is finished for a generation.  nobody wants his job now so they might as well hold on to the power and the money for as long as they can, and they will.

If it’s Brown, flush it down!

Donations to Labour party fall again.

Ok not newsworthy but I like it so I included it.

Youth unemployment hurts us all.  “As employers stop hiring young people we face the prospect of losing a generation, with dire consequences for the economy”.

This story sends a chill through my bones.  It does not matter who you are or where you are from.  Directly or indirectly this affects you and your family.

Immigration only makes the effects of this particular phenomenon worse.

The Britons who can't afford to become old.  “The UK population is getting older and faces deep financial, emotional and health issues. In the latest part of our series on the fallout from the nation's 'age quake', we examine how a crisis will affect us all as company pension schemes collapse and stock market failures hit private policies. Ruth Sunderland reports on a generation who face working into their seventies - or living out their old age in penury”.

This story should be much bigger than it currently is.  I think that this issue is just too big for the press to want to talk about coming up to the June 4th elections.  I am not certain that it will get the coverage it deserves before the general election next year either.

Media Refuses to Discuss BNP Policy

Nick Griffin Winston Churchill picture

It has never been known on this blog that I should copy and paste a complete article from any news source.

The original copy of this article can be found on the British National Party website at: - Media Refuses to Discuss BNP Policy.  For me this article is spot on.  We have all been commenting privately on this for ages and it is just nice to see Nick saying it.

The controlled media’s reaction to the British National Party’s election campaign has been to avoid discussing any policy issues - which are the heart of voters’ concerns - but to focus instead on irrelevant issues such as modelled photographs or decades’ old comments which have nothing to do with the BNP of 2009, party leader Nick Griffin has said.

Reacting to the renewed flurry of media smears against the BNP, Mr Griffin said the most striking common factor of the attacks was the absolute refusal of any of the media to actually discuss any BNP policy.

“Instead, they will focus on whether the BNP used models or not on the pictures on its leaflets, or quote some old discredited Tory about Churchill, or as is the latest one, rehash some outdated comment from 15 years ago which is totally unrepresentative of the modern BNP,” Mr Griffin said.

“Opinion polls have shown over and over that the issues upon which the BNP campaigns - immigration, the European Union swindle, the asylum scandal, the bankster bailout and economic mismanagement, corruption and sleaze and Westminster - are all top of voter concerns.

“Despite this, the controlled media focus on irrelevancies. The BNP did use models for its leaflets - because the tyrannical Labour/Tory ruling elite have made it a criminal offence to use serving soldiers or nurse and doctors in political party leaflets. All parties use stock photographs and there is no issue.

“Now they are whining about the BNP using Winston Churchill’s image in our TV broadcast, and have wheeled out Nicholas Soames to complain,” he said.

“In 1995, Mr Soames, as a member of the Churchill family, was party to the sale of the Chartwell Papers, his grandfather’s archive to the nation for £12.5 million. This was paid out of national lottery money, showing that the Churchill family is not averse to making money out of the Churchill legacy when it suits them.  The BNP merely invoked Churchill’s image, because, given his opinion on the EU and immigration, there is no doubt that he would have been unwelcome in the modern Tory Party,” Mr Griffin said.

“In the media’s last desperate attempt to smear the BNP, they have also now resorted to rehashing comments made a decade and a half ago to try and put the BNP in a poor light. I have gone on record repeatedly as saying such things were immature politics and all of us have moved on,” he said.

“The media just ignore the legitimate concerns the public has over immigration, which, if left unchecked at current levels, will see this country completely submerged within a few decades. The media ignores the fact that it is the BNP alone which has sounded the alarm on this issue, and has the policy that can avert this looming disaster.

“The media ignores the huge cost to this country of EU membership. It costs us £40 million a day in direct costs, and untold millions more in indirect costs, never mind the destruction it wreaks amongst our industry and agricultural sectors. The media ignores the fact that it is the BNP alone which has consistently opposed the EU, and, unlike the phony UKIP front, does not have candidates who actually support the EU and whose hands are just as deep in the taxpayers’ pockets as the MPs in Westminster.

“The media just ignores the fact that both Labour and Tory parties plunged us into a horrific unjust and illegal war in the Middle East, on the basis of a proven pack of lies. They ignore the fact that the BNP alone was the first to point out the lies, and oppose the war in Iraq.

“The media ignores the fact that the government has spent this country into bankruptcy by bailing out corrupt banksters who have frittered away honest people’s investments in crazy schemes which were guaranteed to fail. The media ignores the fact that it was the BNP who first pointed out that this would inevitably lead to a financial meltdown.

“The media just ignores the fact that all of the parties: Labour, Tory, Lib-Dem and UKIP, are as corrupt as each other and have proven themselves to be untrustworthy. The media ignores the fact that the only party which has completely clean hands in that debacle is the BNP, and our election pledges which have made it clear what we would do about this ongoing disgrace.

“The media just ignores the fact that while unemployment reaches record heights in this country, foreigners from all parts of the globe continue to pour in and take jobs from British workers. Instead of blaming the other parties for this treason, the media ignores it.

“Instead of pointing out that the BNP is the only party which has a Britain first policy with regard to jobs, foreign aid, health, welfare, housing, economics, manufacturing and industry, all the media wants to do is discuss photographs on BNP leaflets.

“That alone should tell the voters all they need to know, and where to put their votes on June 4th, when everyone will be able to punish the pigs of Westminster and vote BNP,” Mr Griffin concluded.

* See here and here for Winston Churchill’s comments on Islam, immigration and Europe-and why they would disqualify him for membership of today’s Tory party.

I shall not make a habit of including complete articles from other sources but please forgive me this one.

I could not resist.

Labour government advertises in India for graduates because they are cheaper

David Lammy

David Lammy (pictured) has the honour of being the British government’s Universities Minister.

Astonishing then that he is telling British graduates to go oversees if they want to find work.

Astonishing for many reasons principle amongst which is the fact that her majesty’s government is currently advertising abroad, on its own behalf not via an agency, for Indian graduates to come to this country for jobs.  The only reason for this has got to be that they will work for less.

This economic undermining of the British people has got to stop.  Not only that, the socialist vision of one world without borders is enhanced if they can ‘encourage’ British graduates and Indian graduates to change places.

From the article: -

Labour Minister Tells UK Graduates to Leave Britain if They Want a Job

Incredibly, the government funded National Health Service has just launched a campaign to advertise for university graduates in India to come to Britain to work, said BNP education spokesman Joan Bridge-Taylor.

“What Mr Lammy is telling young British people is that he and his colleagues at Westminster have so destroyed the British economy that there will not even be any work opportunities for them anymore,” Mrs Bridge-Taylor said.

Mr Lammy’s suggestion to graduates to leave the country has also been backed by the ultra-leftist extremist National Union of Students, which, when it is not campaigning against the BNP, will also be handing out leaflets telling students to go away over the next few weeks.

“It is an indictment on the ruling elite when government ministers have to admit in public that people should leave the country rather than work to build it up,” Mrs Bridge-Taylor said.

It really is true.  The only way to stop this kind of news is to vote for the British National Party.  All of the other political parties agree with this agenda.  All of them encourage further international ties and propose no worthwhile changes to immigration.

British National Party now opposed by Turkish government as well as our own – ah well.

Turkish flag In a new twist to British politics the government of Turkey has thrown its hat into the ring against the British National Party.

The Turkish embassy in London has formally complained to the British Foreign and Commonwealth Office over the BNP European election leaflets.  This is the British National Party official leaflet which has been checked for its legal validity not only by our own legal department but also by the legal department at the Post Office.

There is no way in the world that the Post Office would deliver this election address to twenty nine million addresses across Great Britain if they thought that there was even a possible violation contained within.

The following is an extract from an article entitled: -

Muslim Turkey’s Attack on Leaflet “Proof of the Danger of EU’s Expansion” says BNP Leader

The demand by the Muslim country of Turkey for the withdrawal of British National Party leaflets objecting to that nation’s inclusion into the European Union is proof that the BNP’s position on the matter is correct, Nick Griffin has said.

In his reaction to the news that the Turkish embassy in London has formally complained to the British Foreign and Commonwealth Office over the BNP European election material, Mr Griffin said the reaction “showed that the Turkish government had a fundamentally flawed understanding of what democracy was, and that democracy included the right to free speech.

“We would never dream of trying to dictate to Turkey what it should allow and what it should not, even when it for example officially criminalises anyone promoting the 1915 Armenian genocide,” Mr Griffin said, referring to the near extermination of Armenia by the Ottoman Turkish Empire during World War One. That atrocity is officially denied by the present Turkish government, despite worldwide disapproval.

“The point is that Turkey has a very poor track record of democracy and free speech, and its demand for the suppression of a perfectly legitimate political party’s election material in another country shows exactly how dangerous it would be to expand the EU to include this 99 percent Muslim nation,” Mr Griffin said.

We in the British National Party believe that it would be a disaster for the European Union to continue with its plans to allow Turkish membership and open borders, and we do not even wish to be in it ourselves.

As a long serving nationalist I am not the slightest bit surprised by this development.  It has long been an open secret, even bragged about in the past by groups from the left wing of politics, that our opposition, via its disparate network of political groups gets funding and support from people who should have no interest in domestic British politics.

We in the British National Party would never concern ourselves with the internal politics of Turkey.  It is none of our business.

Thoughts from the bank holiday weekend

This bank holiday weekend for us has been dominated by leafleting as you would expect.  If I am not elected to the chamber of Warwickshire County Council in June it will not be for want of trying on our part.

I can honestly say that every time I have been out leafleting I have seen British National Party leaflets/posters in windows whereas I have only seen one Labour party poster in the candidates window and none what so ever for any of the other parties contesting either the European or County elections.

I would have thought that the senior churchmen who have been attacking the BNP would think twice because every year there are more and more churches closing and we are the only political party in the United Kingdom which wishes to operate under a constitutionally Christian system of government.

I also thought that they might have wished to keep a lower profile less someone should ask them for a comment regarding the various and continually forthcoming paedophile scandals that seem to eminate from within the Christian churches.  Maybe they see us as a useful distraction.

Other political parties have been noticeable by their absence on the streets.  I was expecting them to be out in force.

Either leaflets or the people to put them out seem to be in short supply as well.  I have seen one Labour leaflet for the county election and one Liberal Democrat leaflet for the European election.  A poorly constructed thing it was.  I would not have been happy at all had I been the candidate.  I could have shown it to you but I instinctively shredded it once we had read it, so, too late now.  Please forgive me.

I am very grateful to the people who have helped me with leafleting so far both in the week and at weekends.  You know who you are!  There is still much to do though so if anyone reading this has some spare time I am sure that we can find you something worthwhile to do with it.

Labour - The last gasp

Labour is drowning in a mire of their own design

I have shamelessly ripped this picture from someone’s Facebook because from first sight it gave me so much pleasure that I had to share it with you.

I would normally credit the person but in my indecent haste to spread the mirth I did not take the slightest notice.  I am sorry.

My main regret is that the picture has far too few heads in it and that there are no MP’s from other parties.  I most sincerely believe that with their insistence on institutionalised corruption they have tarnished the reputation of our entire nation in international eyes.

From a British national Party point of view in an election period I am delighted of course.

Roll on next year and the General Election.  I believe that the General Election will be the first Thursday in May 2010.  I have no doubt personally that Gordon brown will not want to go to the country at the moment because there would be a massive defeat.

I also believe that there is no good news on the horizon for any of the so called main stream parties not only between now and then but for quite a way into the future.

Sleep well patriots.

Let’s see them blame this on global warming

Mars Rover stuck As you will understand it is not very often that my browser points at the New York Times.

A recent web search however turned up an article entitled: - Mars Rover’s 5 Working Wheels Are Stuck in Hidden Soft Spot.

Global warming is used as justification for tax rises and changes to legal statutes.  Somehow I do not think that it can be used as an excuse in this case.

I am quite sure however that the base reason for this kind of research is profit.

The profit both political and monetary (if there is a difference) which may at some point in the future result from the extraction of mineral wealth, or possibly the positioning of services such as resupply depots for space traffic

A NASA Mars rover, the Spirit, is stuck.

The rover drove into soft ground a couple of weeks ago, and when it tried to get out, its wheels slipped and it moved only a couple of inches.

The Spirit has been stuck before, and mission managers have been assiduously driving it around potential hazards. But they did not see the soft spot, which was hidden under a veneer of normal-looking soil.

“It is quite serious,” said John Callas, the project manager for the Spirit and the Opportunity, its twin rover on the other side of Mars.

I do not believe that there are any little green men on mars so environmentally it cannot be doing much damage.

I hope that the Mars Rover remains stuck.

Before exploiting other resources I cannot help but think that mankind should first learn how to manage the resources that we have at home.

Flock browser and social networking

Go to fullsize imageI am trying out the Flock web browser.

The attraction is that as my accounts grow it will be better for me if I can do everything from one piece of software.

I can view and work with my Twitter and Facebook accounts simultaneously from the sidebar.  This is the first post that I am trying out on the Blog writing part of the browser and it will also feed this to both Facebook and Twitter if i want it to.

I can access my online Picasa web album and more things than I knew existed according to the list that I am looking at in the sidebar.

Very useful to me will be the Web Clipboard where I can drag and drop links or images from the browser and Twit/Blog/Status update them simultaneously.  Potentially this will save me a lot of copy and paste work.  Saving images to desktop and then uploading again ..... snore ..... all a thing of the past.

This blog writing software does not have the functionality of Microsoft LiveWriter so I will probably alternate depending on the source of the information.

Information is king online and I am hoping that this will help me to do more in less time.  i do not even know if this blog writing software works or not yet but if you are reading this then it did.

Let's find out.....

I am pressing the publish button......

now.

BNP British National Party EU elections – Foreign affairs video

I picked this link up from someone’s Facebook entry.  Having watched it I thought it might be of interest to a few people so here it is.

The spelling mistake near the beginning is funny and I assume that the writer was not actually born in Yorkshire.  I hope that they weren’t anyway else they will be in for a lot of stick.

Successful leafleting session so far

BNP in window

Don’t you find that you can never take a picture of a nice windowsill at election time without some jumped up political candidate getting their mug into the picture.

What is that I see by my left shoulder?  Why it seems to be another BNP poster prominently displayed.

Debbie kindly took the picture and this was far from the first display of BNP support that we have seen on our travels today on the second round of leafleting in the Stockingford and Arbury District.

BNP leaflet in windowQuite a few windows have had our EU leaflets displayed or the first black and white leaflet but I only saw one Labour leaflet in a window and that was in the candidates house.  None for the Conservatives at all.  I do not know whether or not they have any leaflets in their window because they live in Weddington on the other side of town and I am not travelling that far to find out.

Having started leafleting this morning at ten ‘o’ clock (ish) I am having a break.  The volunteers that helped me this morning have been brilliant and I am very appreciative of their help.  After a cup of tea and a bite to eat I shall be back out.

I could not let today’s volunteers slip away without mentioning, twice I seem to recall but I am sure that they will forgive me, that leafleting will be on from eleven ‘o’ clock tomorrow and at a time as yet to be determined for bank holiday Monday.

As you have read this far I would ask that if you are available for leafleting at all this weekend please contact me directly for details.  If you have not got either my telephone number or e-mail address there is always the comments section of this blog.  If anyone would be gracious enough to leave me their name and preferred method of contact I will be delighted to get in touch.  Of course it goes without saying that such posts will not be published.

Gordon Brown ‘phone a friend

Gordon has had some bad days.

Days when nothing works out for him.

Days when he cannot help but put his foot in it again and again.

Days when even his very best efforts go un-noticed but his mistakes define him.

Days when even he must wonder, “Is it worth packing it all in?”

On such days it is understandable that Gordon needs a little private time to ‘phone his best friends.

Yes Gordon you should pack it all in!

You were not elected as prime minister.  You have not gone to the people for a mandate which would have been the honourable thing to do.

Instead you are going to hang on to power for every last miserable minute.

The video above I found on the Capitalists@Work blog under the title The Crumbliest Flakiest Prime Minister in the world.

BNP County Council election party political broadcast 2009

Now for some reason known only to themselves but about which I must confess some curiosity the powers that be decided to ban the original party political broadcast recorded by the British National Party for the County Council elections.

I cannot claim to be surprised by this decision because it is pretty much par for the course.

The first video below is the banned party political broadcast.  If you can see anything wrong with it, except for the fact that it is pretty good, I would appreciate your comments.  I cannot see any reason to ban this except for bloody mindedness.

The video below is the British National Party election broadcast as it was transmitted.

Personally my favourite party political broadcast is the first one.

At least with the British National Party we provide you with the evidence and allow you to make up your own minds.

When is democracy not democracy?

Every week in the Nuneaton News the leader of the council has his own column.  At last weeks full council meeting the new Mayor was installed for the year as was the new Conservative leader, Cllr Peter Gilbert.

Part of the new leaders column reads as follows: -

…..

I have been a member of the council for three years and this time has given me many great experiences.

I have had the opportunity to work with people who have different political beliefs.

There will always be issues that divide us and we at times will have different views on the direction the council should take, but the one thing that the majority of people who are elected to represent  have in common is the belief in democracy.

It is not always a perfect system and sometimes a minority of people who are attracted to politics don’t have proper intentions.

Our democracy was hard fought for and it is the job of those who are elected to reaffirm the trust and the bond with the people who go to the ballot box.

…..

Are my eyes deceiving me or is this Tory having a pop?

At the moment there are eighteen Conservative, fourteen Labour and only (until next year Peter) two British National Party councillors on Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council.

I must take him to task on his use of the word ‘minority’ in this context.

So far in this election I am aware of full colour glossy leaflets delivered by the Labour party as well as canvassing sessions attended by councillors where the only topic of conversation is, “Don’t vote BNP!  If you can’t vote for us vote Conservative”.

Labour are not alone in this.  A Conservative candidate in the Warwickshire County Council elections was today out on the streets saying pretty much the same thing to one of our potential voters.

Looks like life under our new council leader could be rather lively.

While I am on the subject and the timing could not have been better.

billboard-disgrace

Conservative Run Brentwood Council Enforce Censorship on BNP Billboard says the headline of the article on the BNP website.

In a move that I cannot help but describe as fascist the Conservative controlled council of Brentwood in Essex have made council workers paper over a British National Party advertisement for the European Union elections.

Here is a snippet from the article: -

The fascist Conservative Party in Brentwood, Essex, has ordered the British National Party’s billboard in their town to be covered up in a blatantly illegal act of censorship.

This magnificent billboard in Brentwood, next to a very popular town centre car park, had already drawn comments from the local and national press.

So when is democracy not democracy?  When the Conservatives or their best friends in the Labour party are taking care of it!

Popularity of British National Party explodes!

The video below is taken by the Deputy Chairman of the British National Party Mr Simon Darby and shows footage of our national call centre.  This is definitely not an offshore call centre by the way.  If you ring you will be speaking to someone who is British.

The BNP Call Centre from BNPtv on Vimeo.

The popularity of the British National Party within Nuneaton and Bedworth has increased measurably in leaps and bounds since we returned our first two councillors to the chamber of Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council last May.  As a matter of fact in areas where we did not stand candidates we have received calls from people giving us a good telling off!

Nationally this popularity increase is echoed and we are confident of a useful increase in votes over our last attempt at the European Union elections in 2004.

I personally would not be at all surprised if we do not return our first Members of the European Parliament.

What have UKIP been doing for the last few years?

ukip bin plus rosette This is my question for the day and one that I hope to see some answers to in the comments section.

There is an article over on the British National Party website titled Nigel Farage Sounds UKIP Death Knell as He Admits to Taking £2 Million in Expenses: -

UKIP party leader Nigel Farage has dealt his party a death blow by “cheerfully” announcing that he has taken “more than £2 million in expenses” from his time in the European parliament - over and above his salary.

The shocking comment was revealed during a lunch Mr Farage had with former Labour Minister for Europe, Denis MacShane MP, after a Foreign Press Association conference on the future of the European Union yesterday.

The news firmly places UKIP into the same bracket as all the other Westminster political parties with regards to ripping off the hard pressed taxpayers in the shocking expenses scandal which has engulfed all the political parties in Britain - except the BNP.

I do encourage you to read the full article and listen to the sound file.

While we are on the topic of UKIP MEP’s there is one apparently called Tom Wise who has no idea what his role is or what he should be doing.  In fact he just makes it up as he goes along.  Rakes in loads in expenses and enjoys a cushy number.

That is what you would expect me to say because i do not want you to waste a vote on UKIP.  Of course but they are not my words.

They are his own!

Below I present the evidence.  Watch and weep UKIP!

Daily Mirror lies about British National Party

This seems to be becoming a habit amongst the national newspapers and within the party we cannot say that we are not used to it because we are all too familiar with being smeared by everyone else.

The only difference is that these days we have the resources to do something about it.  Many times previously I have had to answer people who say, “Why don’t you take them to court?”  With the answer, “Because we do not have sufficient money to do it”.

The extract below is from the British National Party website.  The article is titled: - BNP Takes Daily Mirror’s Scalp in Second Victory over Lying Media

The British National Party has taken its second major newspaper scalp today. The Daily Mirror earlier published a story claiming that a “BNP mum” led a race attack of kids on an Asian - but the truth has now emerged that the person in question is not a BNP member, and has denied on camera all the allegations made by the Mirror newspaper.

The BNP’s rapid response team, under the leadership of Operation Fightback coordinator Paul Golding, tracked down the person named in the Mirror story, Helen Forster.

She told BNPtv that the Mirror story was a pack of lies, that her family’s safety had been endangered by the story and that she was going to take legal action against that newspaper.

The video below was taken by BNPtv to prove the newspaper lies.

It feels good to be a member of the British National Party and continue to tell the truth as we see it while all those around us continue to lie.

It feels even better now that we can expose the lies and the public are noticing.

Vote BNP on June 4th for Euro & County elections!

Why vote UKIP on June 4th?

ukip bin plus rosette I have never understood why anyone would vote for a single issue party particularly when that issue was one of the core policies of an already functioning political party.

At the last European Union election in 2004 the press talked UKIP up tremendously to keep the anti-european union vote away from the British National Party and unfortunately in large measure they succeeded.  Hopefully this time it will not work.

In a piece entitled Terrified Media Caught out Trying to Talk up Flop UKIP Party an alternative view to that of the mainstream media is put forward.  I recommend that you read the full article but here is a snippet: -

Terrified at the prospect of a major breakthrough by the British National Party on June 4th, the controlled media has launched a coordinated campaign to try and talk up the long-dead UKIP party as an alternative protest vote channel, Simon Darby, BNP deputy leader and press spokesman has said.

“The most recent effort has come with a new opinion poll by BPIX, which has been given great prominence, allegedly showing a rise in support for UKIP,” Mr Darby said.

“The reality is that BPIX is, in polling company terms, a virtual unknown and is not even a member of the industry standard British Polling Council,” Mr Darby said. “They have hardly ever been used before but now, because they have a poll which boosts UKIP, they have the centre stage of attention.”

BPIX is supposed to be an Internet based polling company, but their own website, viewable here (and cached here just in case) has been static as ‘under construction’ for years. “All of this makes the origin and source of their polls highly suspect,” Mr Darby said.

The media are also dutifully playing their part in trying to boost UKIP. Mr Darby pointed out that on 5 May 2009, The Telegraph, under a headline ‘UKIP set to struggle after 2004 poll success’ predicted that UKIP was finished, but now less than two weeks later UKIP is suddenly decreed the second biggest party. “It is a laughable deception which fools no one,” Mr Darby said.

The Gurkhas and their families are welcome!

Gurkha soldiers outside council house

The photograph on the left is one of the Gurkha Regiment, who is based just outside of Nuneaton and Bedworth, as they reaffirmed their right to march through the borough with bayonets fixed last summer.

Oh how I do wish that there had been some senior government politicians there to provide a little sport!

As I just happen to be the British National Party borough councillor for the Barpool ward in Nuneaton and as my family and I just happen to be in an area of the town which is seeing an increasing number of Nepalese families move in I can say in all honesty that I have no complaints what so ever.  Neither have I heard any from anyone else.

I speak to many people, which will surprise no-one who knows me, and I have only heard positive comments.

Every now and again I get a little annoyed at the press.  National media mostly.  In the case of the latest smear story to be invented against the British National Party the culprit was none other than ‘The Sun’.  A newspaper which I never buy so they are unlikely to be affected by the fact that I never will.

The following extract is taken from a British National Party article about the smear: -

Over the years we in the British National Party have become accustomed to being lied about, smeared and abused in the media, but the article published today in The Sun newspaper is a new low.

The article alleging the BNP issued a leaflet insulting the Gurkhas and Corporal Pun, a dead Gurkha hero, is a complete fabrication and a lie. The leaflet is not a BNP leaflet; it was never printed, published or distributed by either the BNP or Adam Walker.

The leaflet is a complete forgery. This is not the first time The Sun has lied in order to sell its paper.

An article entitled BNP Calls in Police over Latest Media Gurkha Lie begins with the following: -

The British National Party has called in the police and laid charges over the latest media lie about the party which has included a completely forged leaflet condemning the Gurkhas.

BNP lead North East candidate Adam Walker has this morning laid an official complaint against The Sun for incitement to racial hatred. The Sun story consists of a poor quality black and white leaflet which attacks the Gurkhas and which was not issued by the BNP.

“We have never issued such a leaflet,” Mr Walker said, adding that he had been contacted by the Northern Echo newspaper on Sunday and asked about the leaflet then.

“I told that newspaper that the leaflet was not ours, and that we would never issue such a thing,” Mr Walker said.  “The newspaper would not tell me when or where it had been distributed, which made me highly suspicious.

Highly suspicious indeed but not as suspicious as the speed with which the whole national media retreated once threatened with legal action.

The British National Party today took its first mass media scalp when the treacherous lying The Sun newspaper was this afternoon forced to retract its libellous story about the BNP and the Gurkhas.

Overwhelmed by a determined response from the BNP’s legal department, public anger and peer pressure, The Sun has taken down its online smear story and is now under pressure to print a written retraction as well.

“We contacted the legal department of The Sun at 8:30 this morning as soon as we became aware of the story,” Lee Barnes, head of the BNP’s legal department, told BNP News.

“During the course of the day we engaged in several discussions with both the editorial team and The Sun’s legal department. After we had pointed out to them the various criminal and civil liabilities which the publication of such a blatantly false and libellous article held for that paper and its owners, they agreed to take down their online version completely,” Mr Barnes said.

“At the same time, we succeeded in getting four other newspapers, who had copied over The Sun’s story onto their websites, to unreservedly withdraw their versions as well within ten minutes of the articles going up.

“Three of the editors of those papers actually phoned in personal apologies for putting up the articles, and expressed their anger at the deception of The Sun in putting up the piece in the first place.”

Maybe now they will check out smear stories against the distributed against the British National Party by third parties with a vested interest in lying about us prior to printing them.  Just maybe.

Gurkha Media Lies Exposed by Adam Walker and Nick Griffin explains the truth which begins: -

British National Party leader Nick Griffin has personally stepped in to address the most shocking lie ever published in the media concerning the forged Gurkha leaflet supposedly unveiled by The Sun newspaper this morning.

Mr Griffin has written a personal letter to Peter Carroll and Joanne Lumley of the Gurkha Justice organisation, assuring them that there is no truth at all to the leaflet.

“I wish to place it on record for yourselves that the leaflet in question is not a BNP leaflet, and is a smear leaflet put out by our political opponents close to the increasingly desperate Labour Party,” Mr Griffin wrote in his letter.

“The BNP has never issued such a leaflet and never would. The article and leaflet are a total fabrication and are already the subject of legal action by ourselves.

I could not resist one final shot of the Gurkhas in closing this post.

Gurkha soldiers marching past

I was standing in the area reserved for elected members of Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council  and Gurkha officers when I took these

I have never won a caption competition and do not suppose for a second that I will come up with the best one for this photograph either but my suggestion is: -

“The politicians are this way boys!”

I hope to see your captions in the comments section and once there are a few I will update my favourite five below: -

County Council elections 2009

By far the vast majority of interest with regards to polling day on June 4th is centred upon the Euro elections and the fact that the British National Party is standing candidates in all of the 69 seats and quite rightly so.

It is also worth recognising that there are 459 County Council candidates standing along with mayoral elections in three locations and by-elections in others.

The number of County Council candidates is a great improvement on the 39 which we stood nationwide the last time the counties went to the polls in 2005.

Throughout the borough of Nuneaton and Bedworth we already have two councillors and look forward to welcoming more to the chamber next year when our next round of borough council elections takes place.

It is not considered to be beyond the realms of possibility that the British National Party could return its first county councillors to the chamber of Warwickshire County Council at our first attempt standing.

When the counting is over I would consider it a privilege to be one of those newly elected councillors and would make the necessary changes to ensure that I am able to continue to carry out not only my new duties but of course my existing duties upon Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council to the high standards that I have set so far.

Fusiliers march through Nuneaton on May 1st 2009 – from YouTube

I only had static shots of the Fusiliers marching through the town centre when I did my earlier post.

This video has since been posted on YouTube and I thought that I would increase its exposure a little.

Mental Health – Avenue Clinic will close

The quote below is taken directly from the website of the Nuneaton News.

THE BATTLE to keep beds open is over as Nuneaton’s only mental health hospital will close.

Despite ferocious opposition from large sections of the local community, a final decision has been made to move in-patient beds at Avenue Clinic to a centre in Coventry.

This spells the end of overnight care being available to mental health sufferers at the Manor Court Avenue-based unit.

Members of NHS Warwickshire’s board rubber-stamped Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership Trust’s proposals to revolutionise local mental health services by closing the local unit.

Paul Maubach, director of strategy and commissioning at NHS Warwickshire, explained: "We have listened very carefully to the comments of everyone who has engaged in the public consultation, which lasted for 13 weeks, and ensured that both users and carers have had a very full input at all times.

"The changes that we have approved will enable us to provide more extensive community services to North Warwickshire.

"We believe beds can be more safely utilised by basing the new inpatient facility at the Caludon Centre, and that the presence of more enhanced, local crisis resolution and home treatments will provide the best possible service to patients."

Now it will be down to the Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership NHS Trust to implement the changes, which could see the Avenue Clinic transformed into a day hospital.

I can assure you that every time that this subject has come up within the confines of Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council the British National Party has stood up for the option of keeping in-patient beds at the Avenue Road Clinic in Nuneaton.

I have visited the Caludon Centre, located alongside the Walsgrave super hospital in Coventry, which is not only inconvenient for many of the people who will be expected to travel there it is also an inferior centre in my opinion.  An opinion which was also held by all of the other borough councillors (both of them) who attended the tour.

The consultation period was lengthy and views were listened to but personally I feel that the decision was made before the consultation period started.  It was stated quite near the start that the only option that could be financed was the option to centre mental health provision at the Caludon Centre.

Is the BNP running scared? … You decide!

hope not hate nuneaton

I cannot resist this photograph of the ‘hope not hate’ extremists gathering in Queens Road, Nuneaton before starting out on their anti-bnp activities.

The original picture was quite dark so I have shone a little love upon it to bring them out into the light of day.

The following quote is taken from the original article and I cannot help but laugh.  They all look like they need a cuddle.  Any volunteers?

Nuneaton elected two councillors to the Borough Council in 2008, in the Camp Hill and Bar Pool wards. "And that is where we started our campaign," said campaigner Alan Weaver, "because we know that the BNP got elected in those areas by spreading their usual lies and myths."

Campaigners came from as far as Rugby, Coventry and Atherstone to support the Nuneaton HOPE not hate camapign.

"It is great that we have support from across Warwickshire and that so many people are prepared to give up their weekend to ensure the BNP don't have any success in the European and County Council elections on 4 June," Alan continued.

The tall guy behind the word ‘Hope’ is probably the organiser.  The lady standing on the far left (hardly appropriate) is Jayne Innes, prospective parliamentary candidate for the Labour party and the lady standing on the right is Pat Henry who is one of the Labour party candidates desperately seeking help in the Warwickshire County Council elections currently taking place.

If I read their article correctly and count the heads on the picture I see four people travelled from as far as Rugby, Coventry and Atherstone to oppose democracy.

I am disappointed that the website that hosts the original article does not have a comments section because I would have left one.

This blog does and I believe in free speech so feel free to comment if you wish from either side of the argument.

Doesn’t it make you sick?

I am irritated by something which you will all have noticed.  When I read about criminals in the media colour is only mentioned when they are white.

Fat, lazy, and stupid people have to be portrayed by white males.  It always seems to be white people who are portrayed in a negative way in the government adverts.  Is this fair?

SwinefluYou will recognise the unfortunate fellow on the left as the chap off the Swine Flu adverts.

Every address in the nation has had this through their door.

No problem.  Covering your mouth properly is something that my mother would agree with as is washing your hands.  I doubt there will be any conveniently placed antibacterial wipes but you cannot have everything can you?

The videos above and below are straight from the website of the Department for Work and Pensions and for the cynics amongst you can be seen on their original page here.

The spreaders of multiculturalism would tell us that it is just fine to have images of only white people spreading diseases and breaking the law.

ACTIONMANThis is the picture which attracted complaints about the Ministry of Defence for allowing the picture of their new dolls to contain three white men.

Since the British Army contains an exceptionally high percentage of white men I see no problem but apparently the picture is not inclusive enough and does not represent society.

Below is the picture that the Local Government Association chose to use for St Georges Day in its weekly councillor magazine ‘First’.

St Georges Day Newham School

St Georges Day apparently must be multicultural.  Is this picture not somewhat contrived?  Did their parents really all buy their flags from the same place?  I doubt it.  These children were told to wave these flags for the camera.

This action does no-one any good but is typical of left wing brainwashers everywhere.

You will all doubtlessly have examples of your own but today this just annoyed me.

I DO NOT CARE whether they like it or not!

trinity-cross-medal

This medal is awarded by the British monarch only to islanders of Trinidad and Tobago who have performed exceptional service.

In merit it sits only behind the Victoria Cross and the George Cross.  So not many have been awarded and it is a distinct honour to be presented with one.

According to an article entitled PC Madness: Queen’s Medal Scrapped because It “Offends Non-Christians” over on the British National Party website: -

A medal established by the Queen forty years ago is being withdrawn after it was declared unlawful and offensive to Muslims and Hindus.

The cross-shaped honour — The Trinity Cross of the Order of Trinity — has been handed to distinguished members of the former colony of Trinidad and Tobago.

Cricketers Brian Lara and Garfield Sobers are among those who have received the medal along with diplomats and politicians.

The Christian name and cross are now being replaced with the Order of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago — a circular medal featuring a sun, stars, water and a map of the islands. The Privy Council, made up of 12 law lords, ruled the merit decoration was unlawful because it discriminates against non-Christians.

Now other honours are being reviewed over their references to Christian Saints or symbols.

The Queen established the Trinity Cross in 1969 and it took precedence over all other decorations except for the Victoria Cross and George Cross.

The article continues with details about the ethnic diversity of the islanders and the decision of their High Court and comments from one of its judges.

I want to be crystal clear on this.  Are you ready…..

The Queen is head of the Church of England and as such it is totally appropriate that she should be handing out medals with Christian symbols upon them.  If this offends you I do not care!

Quite frankly I am offended that she might stop.

Who apart from members and supporters of the British National Party care about offending the indigenous subjects of the monarch?  Absolutely no-one.

If you are offered a medal and do not want to receive it no-one is going to force you.

Turn the offer down if you have objections.
