Conservative foolishness

david-cameron-bullingdon I can profess no surprise at the revelations that the Conservative party has a preference for candidates from either the Ethnic Minority or Gay, Lesbian and Transgender sections of the community.  Females from any background are of course always welcome.

An anti-white male Conservative shortlist cannot be the best basis for approaching a General Election.  Has dippy David Cameron not noticed that his own approval ratings are going down?  He is so false as a leader that Gordon Brown is starting to look good to sections of the electorate.

I suppose that I should be thanking the old Etonian marketing man for reducing the electability of his party.  Certainly the British National Party will benefit from this.  Just a few more disgruntled Conservatives will decide that values have been manipulated just enough for them to leave the party.  This is already happening apparently.  Some of those will move over to us further weakening one of the main opposition parties.

The question, “Will David Cameron be standing down as he has a safe seat so that more candidates from the preferred list can get into parliament?” provides me with a giggle.  The top of the Conservative party is manipulating the main body of the party for their own benefit.  The chances of anyone from the top falling on their sword for what they ‘believe in’ is about as remote as the likelihood of winning the lottery without buying a ticket.

I can fully understand why the electorate cannot see the difference between Gordon Brown and David Cameron.  I am more interested in politics than most and I cannot find one.  Maybe swathes of the public, the ones that bother to vote at least, will be guided by the old saying, ‘better the devil you know’.

Personally I am having a chuckle.
