This is a question that I find myself asking based upon the creation of two new websites ostensibly for media workers. EXPOSE the BNP and Reporting the BNP A Practical Guide for Journalists.
Two websites for members of one trade. I smell the usual break up of the left here. I can imagine a bearded comrade high on perception and political propaganda appealing that the official NUJ site is not forceful enough and that more must be done by the warriors of the left.
The official NUJ site covers too many inaccuracies and downright fallacies for me to go into here. Pure propaganda at best. in my naivety I thought that the press were supposed to take no part in the political process other than reporting the truth as it happens. I was clearly wrong. the role of the press these days seems to be to publish whatever their controlling interests want and see whether the public see through it.
The general guiding principle is something like: We will print what we want you to think. It is up to you whether you believe us.
The unimpressive tatty website is the one promoting Mr Weyman Bennett of UAF fame. The clip below is of a speech of his on October 6th 2009 where he shows his calibre.
The person in the black and white photograph is I believe the ideological trainer of the coordinators of such anti-democratic campaigns. His name is rumoured to be Joe but they do not like to talk about him in public. It is a shame for them that he is a little too old to understand the first thing about website design.
