Road deaths would fall apparently. Maybe one hundred lives per year would be saved but if this is the case would the same result not be achieved simply by doing away with the ‘daylight saving’ one hour time shift trick that we perform every year.
Time zones are meant to be local. The true reason I believe is in the footage but only mentioned clearly once. Business in the form of the financial institutions of the City of London want this change to synchronize their trading floors with the rest of the European Union.
Now I understand the motivation I predict that nothing will happen with this one. This is a publicity stunt to focus public attention away from the ailing economy.
