Is Labour really being taken over?

The news that the Labour party who control the council at Tower Hamlets in East London has been infiltrated by an Islamist element attached to the idea of Islam For Europe, as claimed by one of their own in newspapers recently, should not be too much of a surprise.

Remember Militant Labour?  Look at the harm they did back in their day.  Opponents of Labour should hope for something similar.  The potential for media coverage now that the cat is out of the bag is obviously multiplied now that the Labour group has been taken into special measures by the regional Labour party.

The race and equality industry, prevalent in London beyond anything seen in the rest of the country, could go into overdrive with this.  Only time will tell.

Rumblings about such replacement has been rumoured by deselected Labour councillors in other parts of the country ‘through the grapevine’ but such gossip is almost certainly based upon rancour at being replaced by a new candidate.  Maybe it was just time.

I am not going to pretend to care one way or the other.  If this is beginning to occur elsewhere the Labour Party deserves it.  If not they need to be aware of the possibility.  It is easier to take over an existing political party, once you have the necessary population in an area, than it is to form a new one from scratch.  There is a lot more to it than people think.

I do believe that there is more to this than meets the eye.  I am cynical but the Labour party with its diversity pledges wants to do this in the eye of the media coming up to a General Election?  I do not think so.

For a party that believes deeply in multiculturalism, that encourages diversity and loves Islam it comes as a surprise to me that they object to the take over of the Labour group by the local Muslim population.

Institutional racism in the Labour party maybe.
