YouTube is a growing medium for sharing information/views and one which I utilise when time allows.
My channel contains clips on local, county, regional, national and international topics. I do tend to favour shorter single issue clips rather than news style roundups.
This is a step towards the end of the nations that approve it or the beginning of a bright future if you desire a single national entity in what is currently the separate sovereign states of Europe.
I am fascinated by technology as I know are many others but I do sometimes look at a project such as this one and think about what benefits could be achieved on this planet with the budget necessary for visits to Mars.
South Africa has offered its citizens, activists and press a deal that is easy to refuse. Reveal government information and receive a prison sentence of up to twenty five years. The implications of this should be quite obvious.
A blind parrot can see that you need to collect taxes in order to pay for government spending. The best the US supercommittee can do is to continue to provide services that it cannot pay for by issuing government debt whilst at the same time refusing to raise historically low taxes at all. This is typical of career building politicians the world over putting their own career-ego before the state of the nation. Any of the great American people that voted for this shower should be ashamed of this performance and tell their politicians in no uncertain terms to get real immediately. The continuation of this playground spat will be an unprecedented economic travesty which I believe is already beginning to unfold as more countries diversify reserve holdings away from the US dollar. The dollar will always be a reserve currency but as its economic supremacy fades so does Americas voice on the world stage. The fat lady of Wall St is going on one hell of a diet and the Grand economic opera may well become a second rate barroom karaoke act. To prevent this the supercommittee has to act decisively and immediately to restore public and international confidence. Fat chance of that happening so the only debate worth having is about the future shape of global economic politics because for certain; it will be radically different to what we have today.
The Italian premiere, imposed by the EU without the formality of an election, is trying to convince the people that appointed him that he will do as he was told. If you cannot see the operatic farce of this being played out in public then we are on a different wavelength.
Not only do hundreds of thousands of people from the Philippines emigrate every year, their government actively encourages them to do so. This is a prime example of Globalism. Nations have a duty of care towards their citizens that is being ignored by many governments.
A fun clip woth a stark and correct message. The resolution to the current economic problems, which were created by spending way more than we earned for years and years, is simple but very painful. Did I mention unavoidable? Delayable, which is what is going on in the west at the moment, but which is ultimately only delaying the recovery and lengthening the pain.
Looking for something small and nippy for when your guests have arrived and you realise you have forgotten something. Get one of these and they won't even notice you were missing. A more pointless production car I cannot imagine.
This is a plain and simple ecplanation of the position that Portugal, Ireland, Greece and Spain find themselves in. They got there because of the short term promises of politicians with international agendas that they should never have trusted. If you want to lose national borders, identity, culture and credibility join up with other nations properly and form a European state. Otherwise vote for Nationalist politicians that will defend your national interests and therefore take a longer term view. There are plenty of different types of Nationalists out there to choose from.
Is this why we did it? It certainly was not as an attempt to help the people of Libya. When Gaddafi was at his height as international pariah number one then maybe.
No matter who is promoting apprenticeships I will back the principle. I am not aware of the full details of the apprenticeship scheme but I do recognise that as well as being an excellent building block in the career path of the apprentice, apprenticeships themselves are a key element in rebuilding our natuonal manufacturing economy.
Anti-Slavery week is not that far from us so I thought I would pop this up. Slavery is still common in much of the world with sex and domestic slaves residing even here. This would make a good issue for any Nationalist party that sought to push it in the right manner.
Living in Nuneaton I have known many people who used to work for Peugeot in nearby Coventry. Used to becaude even tjough it was the most efficient Peugeot plant at the time the French closed it for two reasons that they were quite obvious about. Firstly becaude our employment laws are such that it is far cheaper to close down factories here than anywhere else and secondly but foremost because they close foreign factories before French ones wherever possible as a matter of principle.
With this approach applied as a national principle France will figjt for the Euro as long as possible. Being one of the two controlling partners they are sucking in other countries markets for their citizens to take benefit from.
The Greek Prime Minister has taken on the task of deficit reduction which is the mosr pressing thing at the moment I should imagine. He might like to take a look at Greece's wealthy who, whilst being amongst the wealthiest in the world, pay precious little in tax. If he can recover the Greek economy without losing his nation wholesale into a European nation controlled by German and French politicians then he will have performed a good service indeed to his people. To bring this about though much will have to change in Greece that will not be popular. Such is the price of continuously spending more than you earn.
British politicians should beware the Greek example.
A short clip of HMS Astute demonstrating its capabilities as it undergoes trials. World leqding technology that the Royal Navy will be looking forward to having fully on the fleet in 2012.
Does the west intend to bring about regime change in Syria and if so why? I don't believe any gubbins about my own politicians caring for the Arab peoples as they don't even care for ours.
It was a pleasure as always to be a part of the Remembrance Sunday Parade. This clip was shot from the top of the town hall steps and there were plenty of people moving around behind me so please forgive a little camera shake.
The young people of the borough always impress me and today is no exception. Once the military people have passed just take a look at the number of young people taking part in organisations locally. I think the prize for youngest marcher taking part, were there such an award, would go to the St Johns Ambulance.
I used to attend and lay a wreath before I got elected so I have been to a few of these and can safely say that the turnout in the park today was the largest I have seen so far. If yours was amongst the sea of faces, thank you for coming.
I can only assume that YouTube is having a busy day. I uploaded this clip earlier but it only recently became available to view. Upload times are always longer at weekends. Better late than never.
Muslims Against Crusades has been banned. I saw the initial euphoria yesterday and I do understand it. I have some different thoughts on the matter. If you wish to read them you will have to come back tomorrow.
This will hopefully not come as too much of a surprise to you. Personally the hacking scandal for me was less of a scandal and more something that I have taken for granted for years. I do not expect any privacy at all in any form of communication. If you do then you are somewhat naive.
The failure of this coalition government to deport dangerous foreign criminals despite an election pledge by David Cameron, now prime minister, to take a personal interest in the matter is no surprise. If we had a prime minister with a more Nationalistic outlook, maybe I should say 'inlook', then the pledge would have been met.
The cider industry has been revived at home and supplemented by a lucrative export market. Real Ale is also undergoing a metamorphosis from being the preserve of beardies to being the tipple of choice for the selective drinker. It is great to see British business, and traditional products especially, making such an impact.
This type of protest does not work. Never has, never will. If it makes you feel good great. Having a wash may have the same effect with lesss disruption to the lives of others.
It should be of no surprise to any rational person that this e-petition reached the one hundred thousand mark as quickly as it did. Watch the clip for my further thoughts.
Watch the clip and understand. The US, Israel and Great Britain have so much going on at home and with their own neighbours, none of which covers them in glory, that they are desperate for an International distraction. Iran is quite comfortable within its own borders thank you very much.
Of course we understand that western nations want to retain the nuclear advantage but as a Nationalist I cannot fathom quite how you justify telling a sovereign nation, "Hey, you will not make the educational, technological, financial and security developments that this technology brings becaude you are different to us and that scares us". This is in effect what is happening. What needs to happen is that the whole world needs to realise that nuclear technology is a global game changer and one heck of a planetary responsibility. Nations who have it need to restrict the movement of the technology and nations that develop the technology need to be helped to face up to the responsibility that comes with it. Without interfering I am sure that Iran can be taught much for example about the containment, transportation and ecological management of nuclear material. International mentoring on these and other non military issues would be helpful to everyone.
The nuclear club is only going to get bigger. This is unstoppable. If the human race does not learn respect at least at the international level then nuclear war and the devastation that it brings is inevitable.
Nationalists know this. For a sensible approach to the nuclear club question you need to vote for a Nationalist candidate at election time.
Gunboat diplomacy gave way to nuclear standoffs and a cold war. These days the stakes are economic rather than military but with Russia's advantage in natural resources it does leave the question, "Would Russia, at considerable expense to its own economy, stop the home fires burning across much of mainland Europe for a while to make a point if they perceived an advantage in so doing?" I think they just might.
Tjis I believe is a fairly pragmatic. ,clip regarding Chinese intervention in the Euro crisis. Personally I thunk Sarkozy the dozy prefers the idea of Chinese investment to that of formal European financial union. I don't think he wants his place in history to be as the man who sold France to Germany.
Israel and America versus Iran and Russia? Will this start world war three? I doubt it very much. For a start off Iran poses no immediate threat to Israel though it is true that tension levels heighten now and again and they will never be friends. America and Russia are old hands at this kind of sabre rattling. Their stressometer is resting firmly at business as usual. Iaraeli cabinet members vote to either follow America into a war or start one themselves. Strange but no suprise. Israel is an international primadonna that has seen its stage position marginalised by the Arab Spring. Israel is now firmly back in the public eye where it feels safest. If Israel feels safe then the rest of the Middle East can sleep safely.
Under a capitalist system such as the US whrre benefits are minimalistic and begrudged you will find increasing levels of homelessness and poverty. A balance is needed whereby those that can get on do but those that genuinely need help receive it without prejudice. A Nationalist government would provide this balance.
Since it came into being I have said that British nationals ahould not be extradited to the US under this shameful treaty. It is a one way street which is wrong in itself. I hope that as this does not involve the EU out members of parliament will find the spine to end this disgraceful dtate of affairs.
Being a dullard I put a post up about this from my mobile yesterday and somehow this clip became lost along the way. Sorry folks, normally I get it right.
Please watch the clip above and bear in mind the following:
1) The nations involved have a terrible history with Iran
2) Iran is not a nation whose armed forces will stand aside as happened in Iraq
3) Israel, America and Great.Britain have many things going on at home that they want to divert attention from
4) War is good for economic stimulus in the real economy
5) Iran sits on top of huge oil and other mineral reserves
Now watch the clip and make up your own mind on the question: will there be another middle east incursion and if so will it be Syria first. It would make military sense to grab those ports first if you wanted to take on Iran.
This step by Cuba has been long in the making but none the less is another example of a Socialist/Communist state accepting capitalist ideas purely on pragmatic grounds.
Bill Gates is undoubtedly amongst the stratified layer of fortunate geeks. I am happy for him. I am not however too appreciative of his unelected pontifications on the subject of what elected representatives should do with our wealth. Super rich types don't tend to contribute too much tax.
Could the Eurozone be about to break up is the question raised for me by this clip. Bankers obviously decided months ago to make a loss on Greek debt because a small trading loss over time is better than losing fifty percent on one day. These you must remember are the too big to fail banks that quantitative easing was introduced to save. If they still held the debt when Greece pulls the plug then more taxpayer money would be required to bail them out again. If the banks are not bothered about a Greek sovereign collapse then neither are the politicians. It looks to me as if the banks ditched most of the Greek debt early but who to? Not other banks that is for sure. They are all on the same hymnsheet and the same can be said for the much vaunted sovereign wealth funds. My guess is that the 'investment' will have been passed on largely to the books of the pension funds and insurance companies. The implication of this is that the loss will be taken by your pension pot and investments if you have any instead of being taken by the taxpayer or banks. I would also say that the same process is happening with Portuguese, Irish and Italian debt at the moment. Once this process is complete the bankers will be happy for the peripheral countries to go their own way should the Euro prove irredeemable. It is unlikely to end that simply though. Once the banks financial exposure has been limited the fate of the fragile economies will be more pragmatically dealt with. Suddenly it will be realised that expecting countries to repay unpayable debt is unrealistic after all. Sovereign defaults will be the order of the day to cut debts and austerity packages will be slackened because with much reduced debt repayments they will be able too. Pension fund shrinkage could also be used against workers when renegotiating public sector pension packages. So to sum up. Workers pension funds and investments take the losses. The reduced funds are then used as leverage to reduce payouts and therefore reduce further the public sector debt. A perfect result for the bankers who lose nothing at all and the politicians who will claim to have avoided continental financial meltdown. The losers will be the citizens who will probably endure further European integration as a purported cost of avoiding armageddon. Or I could be wrong. In this case I should so like to be wrong!
The clip is about the release of the new figty pound note and the security features that it has to contain. It set my mind along the path of the cashless society concept. How long will it be before they impose the cashless society upon us using security as a convenient excuse?
If you live in the Greater Manchester area and recognise anyone please do the right thing and report this filth to the police. On occasions such as this it may be tempting to dispatch some justice community style but that is a rocky road along which we don't want society to travel.
Iraq is still feeling the pain of the invasion and will do for many years to come. As we approach remembrance day I offer thanks to god that our troops are out of Iraq and furthermore not only that they come back from Afghanistan as soon as possible but also that they are not deployed anywhere else.
The clip shows German/French leaders gambling on a blackmail attempt. I hope that Greece leaves the Euro because it will be better for the paople of Greece. The one size fits all eurozone monetary union will never benefit Greece.
Mobile phone companies are constantly applying for planning permission to erect huge transmitters on footpaths in residential areas. Tjis clip addresses why and what we can do about it.
Argentina is playing the long game now on its quest to claim the Falkland Islands. International communications over time may swau the opinion of friendly nations should, of when, another conflict occurs. If we qant to keep them we have to maintain a Royal Navu large enough for the task.
It wqs only a matter of time before Portugal was going to come back and say, "hey, you let the Greeks off 50% of their debt. Our turn now!" Portugal does not like paying it's own way and dtill doesn't so letting them off their debt will suit them nicely.
The government of Ireland is less than popular on the economic front right now and will put their hand out as soon as theu feel that the time is right.
Wouldn't it be nice if the governments would pay the debt of citizens instead of bankers and politicians. Just a thought.
Syria is not a place that I am defending in any way because I know little about it. I know that it is a little far to impose a no fly zone without carriers and that would mean American involvement. Iran is very friendly towards Syria and just might object to Nato or anyone else bonbing it's favourite neighbour. Bearing that in mind this could be a long drawn out process that will be used to further radicalise Muslim youth in western nations. The result of the Arab Spring so far has been a list of countries becoming formally Islamic and subjecting themselves to the rule of Sharia above the rule of domestic law. Does the west really benefit by another nation in the middle east going the same way? Of course not!
