Gold was for centuries, if not millenia, the reserve of choice for royal and national treasuries alike. Large vaults underneath central banks brimming with the stuff. That was until the last century when an agreement was made to do away with the gold standard. This is when the American doller became the global reserve currency of choice.

This status as global reserve currency is propping up the American economy at the moment and has been for years. America the nation has become quite used to spending far more than it could gain from income. This essentially did not matter because of the reserve currency status. This advantage has been pushed a little far though and the times they are a changing. ......

There are theories aplenty that Saddam Hussain and self styled Colonel Gaddaffi were toppled principally for rejecting the dollar as their choice of reserve currency and also carrying out trade in currencies other than the dollar. Iran has certainly said that gold will again be its reserve and that it will trade in a mixture of its own and its trading partners currencies. Not only is this very unpopular with US politicians but even more so with their global banking names that will also slowly lose their dominance if this idea spreads.

Yesterday the Russian central bank followed the lead of others in announcing that they too would be joining the trend away from the dollar as sole trading currency. Across Asia, Africa South America, the Middle East and now Russia there is a slow but growing trend away from the greenback both as a trading and as a reserve currency. Why as a reserve currency? As the dollar devalues why hold onto it is the simplest answer.

America is not at the edge of a precipice as much as some commentators suggest, or rather they are, but it is in no-one's interest to see them go over. They have the same choices with regard to raising extra revenue and cutting spending as the rest of the west.

Just for a change there is some good news for the UK. We are financially outside of the troubled Euro and not tied to the dollar. As one of the few western nations that the rest of the world has financial respect for Sterling is seen as one of the stable currencies so when you read about central banks diversifying away from the dollar into a basket of Currencies, ours is usually in there. This is a gentle and long term positive for the economy of the whole UK.

Am I the only one that can see the upside of this?

In previous years our people have spent more than their incomings by creating debt. More debt stacked upon more debt and this has causes real problems for families. So, people have been forced to cut their spending back to what they can afford. This is much better for the people as individuals but leaves economists and doomsayer politicians with horrendous headlines for the mainstream media to pump out.

Tax revenues will be down but so will imports so the balance of trade will be better. Keep paying down debt and living within your means if you can. Vegetable peelings have more integrity and regard for national welfare than our pompous politicians.

Honour killing UK

Honour killing is completely acceptable within some families as the information given by the officer in the clip shows.

I am not the slightest bit surprised that this insane practice occurs. Neither am I surprised by the numbers reported recent in the press.

What does get my goat is the intransigent refusal of the government to bear down nothing less than the full weight of the law in every case. Are the lives of these women worth less in the eyes of parliamentarians?

Until this nation insists that it's codes of decency and it's laws are followed once again by all members of the community we must expect these murders to continue, if not increase, in line with the demographic of the section of the population which commits them.

Can the Gavin Hookey case be reopened and receive a £30M investigation please?

This is my reaction to hearing the news of the conviction of Stephen Lawrence's killers. I am very pleased that murderers have been brought to justice, but though there are similarities in that Gavin was killed in a vile unprovoked racist attack and his case has been closed, the obvious difference lies in the fact that Gavin was a white man. Just like in all those grooming cases where no one in official positions wants to know if the victim is white and the perpetrators not. Can the white section of the community in Oldham now look forward to immense interest and unlimited resources pouring in? I rather doubt it. The parents of Charlene Downes and others should not raise there hopes either.

Institutional racism is alive and well. You can get away with anything it would seem if the victim is white!

The Duke of Westminster, David Cameron and the Archbishop of Canterbury amongst others

The Duke of Westminster has announced that he is going to donate a country estate as a care home for returning wounded soldiers. This is the greatest act of benevolence that I am aware of in my lifetime and certainly the type of act that I thought had been consigned to the history books. On this occasion I am delighted to be wrong and commend the Good Duke accordingly.

David Cameron of course doe snot deserve any type of commendation for the revelation that, as many thought, the Conservative party sells gongs. This ‘revelation’ does nothing for his claims that 2012 will be Britains year because we are all going to “go for it” together. Apart from taking action on public services and social issues, which does seem rather vague, he offered no details as to how we might achieve this together.

The Archbishop of Canterbury seems to be trying to keep his name in the newspapers with this piece encouraging us all not to lose faith in the nations young people because of the riots. This piece contains no news what-so-ever and does appear to be his grace publicity seeking.

A prisoner sentenced to thirty years because of his part in a terrorist plot to use his position with British Airways to help him blow up an airliner in flight has complained that he is not being allowed to use the Skype system to make overseas calls from prison. The sad thing is that the authorities are listening to him and his complaint has been referred to some official body. He should have been laughed at and his complaint filed in the dustbin where it belonged.

In direct contradiction to each other these two reports claim firstly that immigration will reduce drastically and subsequently that immigration is an open door to foreign students who must be allowed to remain here. You must make your own mind up of course but I shall remain staunchly cynical.

John Ryde–In Memorium

The passing of John Ryde will leave a hole in many lives. Since hearing of his passing we have recounted many occasions on which John’s presence lit up the occasion and his delivery of both speeches and comments will be missed at Nationalist gatherings far and wide. The picture above shows John as many will, quite rightly, remember him. A well presented gentleman with a sunny disposition who was always a welcome addition to any room that he chose to walk into.

John’s activism will be much missed in Nationalist circles and much further afield than his East Midlands homeland. Many candidates had their campaign leaflets touched up by the hands of John Ryde and much the better for it they were too. Over the last thirty years John has held several positions within different Nationalist parties and stood for election on many occasions. Indeed at the time of his death John was still serving the public as a member of the Newbold Verdon Parish Council.

I offer my condolences to John’s family and broad circle of friends, a fraction of whom I have the distinct pleasure of knowing.

I have not blogged either here or anywhere else for a couple of weeks, not because either there has been nothing interesting enough for me to wish to blog about or because I had no opinion on matters, but because other things have needed my time to the extent that blogging had to be set aside. If you have missed me then thank you.

I am taking this opportunity to wish everyone a very merry Christmas and New Year. If you are of the habit of making new years resolutions, which I do not, then I wish you good luck with keeping to them.

David Cameron? A heroes return? You are having a laugh

From the highest point of Castle Conservative the lookout saw a monster looming that clearly had the capacity to envelop the serfs living below in moribund misery, denude the palaces of the influential and reduce the ConLib kingdom to a sub-region with the status of a fusty tourist attraction. The serfs had long been feeling the vibrations of the coming monster and felt its icy breath tickling at their nether regions. Castle Conservative being well heated even with the windows open and situated high on an outcrop of insulated condescention was immune to both tremors and icy blasts.

The immediate approach of the monster however drew the attention of the influential money men whose palaces were not as well insulated as Castle Conservative though arguably better protected by their owners mastery of the mysterious financial arts and their networks of spy and analyst serfs. The influential had been feeding the monster for a long time on sheep, common serfs who by definition were breeding commodities and therefore dispensable, and written stories known as treaties to placate it's insatiable thirst for power and influence. Fearing domination and the plundering of their personal wealth above all; their useful speaking puppet Dave was primed for his mission by their higher level priests of politics and dispatched to the field of battle.

Meanwhile some of the more literate and easily controlled serfs called media serfs, having long been used to promote the image of Castle Conservative and the agenda of its financial masters, were dispatched to report the agenda of the influential in such a way as to placate the fears of the majority of common serfs. In the story as reported Dave, hero of the piece, rode forth on his trusty charger and single handedly thwarted the European federal behemoth by delivering the fatal blow in the form of a veto. No doubt he would have preferred a sword and shield for the photocall but as we all know; the use (or not in this case) of a pen is mightier than the swish of a sword. I personally am sure that many readers at this point are imagining Dave in a swordfight, but moving on - Media serfs herald the return of the conquering hero saturating the confused regular serfs with congratulatory statements and flattering smiling and waving images of their hero as he returns to Castle Conservative.

The influential were not idle whilst this illusionary battle was diverting the attention of the media serfs and through them the general serf population. The masters of the mystical financial arts used the battle as a diversion to unleash financial instruments upon the leveraged market wealth of the common serfs and further consolidate their wealth, and therefore their influence, over both the common serfs and Castle Conservative.

With the battle over and copious quantities of output from the media serfs absorbed the common serfs returned to their natural state.Though the serfs were aware that the monster had not been slain as hoped a wound had been inflicted that would keep the slavering dark beast at bay for a while.

Heed my warning serfs. The beast is licking its wounds and will return soon. It's insatiable appetite for devouring serfs and nations unquenshable it will one day have to be conquered.

Don't like a description of yourself that you recognise in the post above? Show some spine and join the rebel serfs then. Use any influence that you have to unmask the selfish, grandising, quisling and traitorous agenda of the influential and vote in ways that do not serve them.

Dhimmitude, Jizya, Sharia Law and Christianity

Under Sharia Law Dhimmitide is the submissive state that the people of the book (Christians and Jews) are permitted to live in as long as they pay their allotted Jizya (protection money).

For Christian Copts in Egypt this has been every day life for many generations as discussed in the clip above.

Some of you will find the discussion of such things distasteful or even intolerant. If this is your position then you need to look at the implications. Muslims see Sharia Law as being the incontrovertible law of god. It is totally inflexible and their duty to impose it, and live by it, wherever they are able. If you find the mere discussion of the principles of Islam offensive then you have a problem.

If you are open minded you can see the inherent problems for British Christians as they see the Muslim population of the UK increase proportionately year on year and refuse under any circumstances to integrate with the indigenous population. As a local Muslim gentleman once explained to me; the difference between a good Muslim and a terrorist is the level of violence. Both wish the indigenous population to convert to Islam, they simply disagree upon the methodology. I had previously read such things elsewhere but to hear it spoken in person in a mild mannered matter of fact way I found quite chilling.

I am no conspiracy theorist about to predict an Islamic takeover of the UK with Sharia Law enforced and our traditional liberal law and democracy discarded at the point of a sword. I do think that it is woeth bearing in mind though that should the number of Muslims in any nation rise sufficiently for them to take control then they are obliged to and will.

We live in historically interesting times and the creation of this new country from some of the oldest European nations is only one factor in that. Certainly the prime ministers of France and Germany will have much to say over the coming months. As the number of summit meetings increases it will be become increasingly obvious that the most interesting thing that our prime minister will order will be his breakfast.

A blind parrot can see that you need to collect taxes in order to pay for government spending. The best the US supercommittee can do is to continue to provide services that it cannot pay for by issuing government debt whilst at the same time refusing to raise historically low taxes at all. This is typical of career building politicians the world over putting their own career-ego before the state of the nation. Any of the great American people that voted for this shower should be ashamed of this performance and tell their politicians in no uncertain terms to get real immediately. The continuation of this playground spat will be an unprecedented economic travesty which I believe is already beginning to unfold as more countries diversify reserve holdings away from the US dollar. The dollar will always be a reserve currency but as its economic supremacy fades so does Americas voice on the world stage. The fat lady of Wall St is going on one hell of a diet and the Grand economic opera may well become a second rate barroom karaoke act. To prevent this the supercommittee has to act decisively and immediately to restore public and international confidence. Fat chance of that happening so the only debate worth having is about the future shape of global economic politics because for certain; it will be radically different to what we have today.

Living in Nuneaton I have known many people who used to work for Peugeot in nearby Coventry. Used to becaude even tjough it was the most efficient Peugeot plant at the time the French closed it for two reasons that they were quite obvious about. Firstly becaude our employment laws are such that it is far cheaper to close down factories here than anywhere else and secondly but foremost because they close foreign factories before French ones wherever possible as a matter of principle.

With this approach applied as a national principle France will figjt for the Euro as long as possible. Being one of the two controlling partners they are sucking in other countries markets for their citizens to take benefit from.

The Greek Prime Minister has taken on the task of deficit reduction which is the mosr pressing thing at the moment I should imagine. He might like to take a look at Greece's wealthy who, whilst being amongst the wealthiest in the world, pay precious little in tax. If he can recover the Greek economy without losing his nation wholesale into a European nation controlled by German and French politicians then he will have performed a good service indeed to his people. To bring this about though much will have to change in Greece that will not be popular. Such is the price of continuously spending more than you earn.

Nuneaton Remembrance Sunday Parade 2011

It was a pleasure as always to be a part of the Remembrance Sunday Parade. This clip was shot from the top of the town hall steps and there were plenty of people moving around behind me so please forgive a little camera shake.

The young people of the borough always impress me and today is no exception. Once the military people have passed just take a look at the number of young people taking part in organisations locally. I think the prize for youngest marcher taking part, were there such an award, would go to the St Johns Ambulance.

I used to attend and lay a wreath before I got elected so I have been to a few of these and can safely say that the turnout in the park today was the largest I have seen so far. If yours was amongst the sea of faces, thank you for coming.

I can only assume that YouTube is having a busy day. I uploaded this clip earlier but it only recently became available to view. Upload times are always longer at weekends. Better late than never.

A-Bomb diplomatic divertionary tactics

Watch the clip and understand. The US, Israel and Great Britain have so much going on at home and with their own neighbours, none of which covers them in glory, that they are desperate for an International distraction. Iran is quite comfortable within its own borders thank you very much.

Of course we understand that western nations want to retain the nuclear advantage but as a Nationalist I cannot fathom quite how you justify telling a sovereign nation, "Hey, you will not make the educational, technological, financial and security developments that this technology brings becaude you are different to us and that scares us". This is in effect what is happening. What needs to happen is that the whole world needs to realise that nuclear technology is a global game changer and one heck of a planetary responsibility. Nations who have it need to restrict the movement of the technology and nations that develop the technology need to be helped to face up to the responsibility that comes with it. Without interfering I am sure that Iran can be taught much for example about the containment, transportation and ecological management of nuclear material. International mentoring on these and other non military issues would be helpful to everyone.

The nuclear club is only going to get bigger. This is unstoppable. If the human race does not learn respect at least at the international level then nuclear war and the devastation that it brings is inevitable.

Nationalists know this. For a sensible approach to the nuclear club question you need to vote for a Nationalist candidate at election time.

Israel and America versus Iran and Russia? Will this start world war three? I doubt it very much. For a start off Iran poses no immediate threat to Israel though it is true that tension levels heighten now and again and they will never be friends. America and Russia are old hands at this kind of sabre rattling. Their stressometer is resting firmly at business as usual. Iaraeli cabinet members vote to either follow America into a war or start one themselves. Strange but no suprise. Israel is an international primadonna that has seen its stage position marginalised by the Arab Spring. Israel is now firmly back in the public eye where it feels safest. If Israel feels safe then the rest of the Middle East can sleep safely.

Are bankers predicting multiple government Euro default in the near future?

Could the Eurozone be about to break up is the question raised for me by this clip. Bankers obviously decided months ago to make a loss on Greek debt because a small trading loss over time is better than losing fifty percent on one day. These you must remember are the too big to fail banks that quantitative easing was introduced to save. If they still held the debt when Greece pulls the plug then more taxpayer money would be required to bail them out again. If the banks are not bothered about a Greek sovereign collapse then neither are the politicians. It looks to me as if the banks ditched most of the Greek debt early but who to? Not other banks that is for sure. They are all on the same hymnsheet and the same can be said for the much vaunted sovereign wealth funds. My guess is that the 'investment' will have been passed on largely to the books of the pension funds and insurance companies. The implication of this is that the loss will be taken by your pension pot and investments if you have any instead of being taken by the taxpayer or banks. I would also say that the same process is happening with Portuguese, Irish and Italian debt at the moment. Once this process is complete the bankers will be happy for the peripheral countries to go their own way should the Euro prove irredeemable. It is unlikely to end that simply though. Once the banks financial exposure has been limited the fate of the fragile economies will be more pragmatically dealt with. Suddenly it will be realised that expecting countries to repay unpayable debt is unrealistic after all. Sovereign defaults will be the order of the day to cut debts and austerity packages will be slackened because with much reduced debt repayments they will be able too. Pension fund shrinkage could also be used against workers when renegotiating public sector pension packages. So to sum up. Workers pension funds and investments take the losses. The reduced funds are then used as leverage to reduce payouts and therefore reduce further the public sector debt. A perfect result for the bankers who lose nothing at all and the politicians who will claim to have avoided continental financial meltdown. The losers will be the citizens who will probably endure further European integration as a purported cost of avoiding armageddon. Or I could be wrong. In this case I should so like to be wrong!

Syria looks like being next for an Arab Spring clean

Syria is not a place that I am defending in any way because I know little about it. I know that it is a little far to impose a no fly zone without carriers and that would mean American involvement. Iran is very friendly towards Syria and just might object to Nato or anyone else bonbing it's favourite neighbour. Bearing that in mind this could be a long drawn out process that will be used to further radicalise Muslim youth in western nations. The result of the Arab Spring so far has been a list of countries becoming formally Islamic and subjecting themselves to the rule of Sharia above the rule of domestic law. Does the west really benefit by another nation in the middle east going the same way? Of course not!

The effete language that has been derived from the application of critical theory and the development of political correctness simply masks the raw collectivism beneath. No sacrifice is too great for a community to make especially if they are imposing the benefit or experiment elsewhere. The clip above is proof enough of how caring the proponents of Marx and Lenin truly are.

'Brother' or 'Comrade' are the commonly used terms of referral in the Socialist movement. It should be 'Clone'! For the Nationalist cause to further its development across the United Kingdom we need more ways of getting this message across. The public has been intellectually massaged by three complicit generations of coat swapping Socialist governments. They have been brainwashed by deluges of propaganda from a soporific mainstream media which has been complicit in the deception of the people. There will have been those simply carried away on the tide, simply followers of the day. The media leaders however are deserving of the utmost contempt.

Nationalists should constantly make the effort to point out whenever possible that Socialism is not just represented by one major and some minor extreme left political parties. Socialism is a movement that has in recent years enveloped all three of the main political parties to the extent that even their own most committed members have to debate where the differences are. More often than not their similarities unite them these days. They travel in the same direction for different reasons but the Socialist utopia of one world one people, and all that comes with it, suits them both in equal measure. No doubt upon completion of their dream they see themselves as complimentary but opposite sides of the controlling coin. Society controlled by one, the means of production rather more efficiently controlled by the other.

Nationalism my friends offers the only realistic alternative option to this hideous nightmare. Romantic it is not. Practical it most certainly is.

Personally I think that with a bit of thought the Association of Commonwealth Nations can be a force for good in the world. Anyone who is of the opinion that it is a healthy state of affairs for any single economic sector to comprise eighty percent of gross national product, as the financial services sector does currently does, should not be holding the reigns of anything more powerful than a rocking horse. Sadly the largest political parties in the United Kingdom at the moment all fall into that category.

I do believe that innovation and design in the technology and engineering fields has a strong part to play in correcting our national economic position. Projects such as the ones mentioned in the clip should be receiving substantial government funding instead of surrendering further power to the banks.

The only thing that the left leaning serial protesters have achieved is to close St Pauls Cathedral. No congratulations due there. I know that the church is one of this nations largest land owners so the financial pleadings of the Dean fall on deaf ears with me.

If I were concerned about the effectiveness of the lsx freak show I would be concerned. Being unable to set out your concerns well enough for anyone to understand you can be seen as youthful exuberance and forgiven for a while. Associating with groups such as the Socialist Workers Party gives the project a dimension that I would resist because it alienates the moderate. Having said that the moderate will not sleep on a pavement for long whereas Socialists will see it as self-flagelation for having an iphone and therefore a comradely duty. I would be concerned however aboit closing the cathedral. The law of unintended consequences, simply put, is that it is the things that you don't think of that bite your arse! Hitler never managed to close St Pauls. In the minds of a lot of the very people the protesters need to support them if they are to have any effect at all upon the bought and paid for politicians the unintentional closure of St Pauls will be seen as uncaring. Hardly an insult but something that a social movement can least afford.

The good news is that the protesters won't notice. This is not the sort of thing that troubles the SWP who are probably delighted. This protest bandwagon is being jumped upon by Socialist movements all over the world. I am not commenting on others because they may have a point. Those opposing the Federal Reserve banks in America for example. The others I know too little about. I can tell you something about ours though. It is a Socialist publicity stunt that will be milked until the well of public sympathy is dry and the consequences will be ignored as collateral damage in the sake of the cause.

They are ordinary people across the broadest age range and of both sexes. They don't have any oil of course and neither are they from an obvious ethnic minority group. These people are the indigenous Serbians and they are standing up for themselves against the continued dispossession of their own people from their lands by Albanian muslims. ReWatch the clip and be under no illusion. This has been the wests way of doing business in the middle east for centuries.

What happened in Libya is that Gaddafi knew too much and started working against the best interests of the international consortiums that in truth run the middle east to their own advantage. The deal is simple. Do what you like at home in Libya but we do the big contracts and run the economy.

Gaddafi probably thought that after all his dodgy dealings over the years he knew too much and that his knowledge would protect him. Then he overstepped the boundaries set by the families/corporations and started changing the economy in ways which his unwanted masters disapproved of.

Recent international intervention lessons have been well learned so there was no invasion. Rather the people of Libya themselves were targetted by propoganda and armed. Air support is vital and was provided from a safe distance. Ordinary Libyans were used as ideological mercenaries and civilian deaths were of little concern because news crews were largely absent. Gadaffi's death was guaranteed by the very knowledge that he thought would protect him.

The new regime is an unknown quantity and although the western politicians, who are puppets of the real powerful elite, can be relied upon to make statements to sooth public opinion in the west. The real powerbrokers care not who runs Libya or how, as long as the covenant is maintained. For as long as big business, as a cover for its controllers, runs the economy the transitional council have free reign and can transform into whatever they desire.

Now that the controlling military group in Libya has confirmed that the whole country has now been liberated I hope that we can now stop bombing them. From the start of this military campaign which I see as the British government jumping aboard the Arab Spring bandwagon I have failed to find a single British reason that justifies military action.

Successive governments that wish to appear both strong to the home audience while populist on the world stage have embroiled our military services in aelf serving action. I woyld like to see the politicians on tge front line.

There are many thousands of people on the streets and protest has turned to violence. Ok but this is not representative of the mass of thousands of Greek people who turned out to protest on the day. The government has backed a motion requiring ALL information being disclosed for the families of the 96 victims of the Hillsborough disaster. Justice for the 96, has been the call coming out of Liverpool since the disaster claimed the lives of so many from their community.

I only hope that full disclosure is forthcoming and that the knowledge helps the relatives. The Hillsborough disaster and responsibility for the fate of the 96 haa been hotly debated ever since. If fans suspicions are correct and there has been a cover-up then justice must be seen to be done.

Tobin taxes have been discussed for years. Effectively a Tobin tax is a tax on trades which happen on the financial markets. International trade would simply move to the trading floors without taxation. Financial markets are seventy percent of our economy and it is quite probable that the damage to our trading base would be large scale. High frequency trading is mostly computer controlled and involves the buying and selling of shares in short time spans in the hopes that a lot of small profits will mount up. This is the type of trading that would be most likely to move first.

David Cameron and that NHS election pledge

Honest Dave seems to have forgotten a few things that he mentioned at the time of the General Election. Immigration is of course a big one but the one that appeals at the moment is the National Health Service. The picture said it all. The NHS was ring fenced. Standards would not get worse and changes would be made to save money. Sounded pretty impossible to me at the time but then again I always feel the cynicism rising within whenever I hear someone say that they can deliver better for less. Life does not work that way.

You will be judged by your deeds and I for one cannot wait. I only hope that at the next election the Lib/Lab/Con conspiracy will appear a little more transparent to many more voters and Nationalist candidates will get more of a look in.

Nobody believes you Obama

US president Obama is trying desperately to ramp up sanctions and/or military action against Iran.

This is not his first attempt and neither will it be his last. Iran has committed the same cardinal sin as Iraq and Libya did before previously, and look what happened to them. The sin? All three stopped trading oil in US dollars. The fact that the dollar is the defacto global trading currency is the only thing propping up the entire US economy. This false economy is the foundation upon which the military is funfed and beteeen them they are the means by which American politicians tell the rest of the world what to do. Break the circle by bucking the greenback and the diplomats are coming, closely followed by the marines. America is simply going through the process of playing the victim for a while before they get tough.
